Mrs. King has taught piano privately for over 48 years. She taught the piano lab at Cavazos Middle School for 11 years and taught elementary music and 6th grade classes in Lubbock schools. Mrs. King grew up and took lessons from an early age in Littlefield, Texas. graduated from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, and received a Masters from Texas Tech.

Mrs. King's students have received many awards in theory and performance at contests such as Texas Tech Pastorale and Greater Southwest Music Festival., as well as Lubbock Music teachers' Student Affiliate recitals and festivals. Participation in these activities has improved the success of students of all ages.

Mrs. King keeps herself busy with other projects like gardening and sewing.
